Quality through involvementStaff are always available to discuss progress and to help and advise parents. One evening each term a supervisor for your child’s group will be available on an appointment system for those of you who are not able to see them when you bring or fetch your child or if you feel there is something you would like to discuss with them. We positively encourage an awareness of your child’s developments and achievements. All children have learning journals that allow parents to add any significant developments or events that staff are able to use towards planning for their child’s development. The older children also have an ‘interest tree’ where parents and children are invited to add every child’s individual interest. As well as participating in your child’s learning we also organise ‘family events’ allowing parents and children to socialise with each other outside of nursery time.
- Merryvale Nursery Ltd encourages participation in your child’s nursery day. In our baby department we are happy to follow your home routine and you will be asked to fill in a form to tell us when you would like your baby to have his/her feeds, sleep time or anything else that may help to keep your routine the same.
‘the specific staff forge strong relationships with parents to ensure that their individual needs are known, discussed and provided for to promote their welfare and well being.’
‘Parents particularly like the ‘Blue Book’ that is used to develop daily communication between home and nursery.’
